Chitose Abe, a Japanese designer, established the Sacai brand in 1999. Sacai is positioned as a niche fashion brand, which is why many people may find it unfamiliar. In 2009, Sacai introduced its menswear line, which is also characterized by its lightweight and unique style, giving fashion a different sense of vitality, a design philosophy that Chitose Abe constantly explores. While her collections are often seen as feminine, her aim is to create unique, timeless, innovative, and experimental garments.
Over the past year, I have become a huge fan of CDG and Sacai. Luckily, I have a good friend in Tokyo who has a similar body type and shoe size, so I often ask her to help me buy them. The pants I have are the Sacai 2017 new collection, and the shoes are an older model, but it’s already great to be able to get my hands on them, especially considering the good discounts. As for the top, I don’t even need to mention the versatile and essential CDG commuting hoodie.
Let’s talk about Sacai. Currently, not many people in China are fans of this brand. It belongs to a niche Japanese designer brand. Before founding her own brand, the designer worked under Junya Watanabe for 8 years. Sacai’s collection is based on classic styles, but with variations added on top, allowing the Sacai series to adapt to various occasions. The designs are simple but not simplistic, with unified details on the tops and A-line wide-legged shorts, giving off a modern and minimalist temperament. They are refreshing, exquisite, and have the perfect slimming and age-reducing effect. They are highly practical and can easily be worn for shopping or vacation.
